At the very foundation of our Walk/Run, established in 2011, was the acknowledgment that suicide loss survivors needed a place to grieve publicly in the face of stigma and a lack of understanding for their loss. At the same time, we required a place of hope and a celebration of our resilience, shared experiences, and hope that suicide can be prevented. Today, we return to our roots and bring back our tradition of a quiet remembrance as part of the Walk/Run.
Anyone, regardless if they are walking or running, can send pictures of their loved ones for inclusion in our video remembrance. Pictures can be sent to email@example.com and include "Remembrance Pictures" in the subject line by the listed date of each yearly event.
Absolutely! Just as with every year before, all are welcomed at the Annual Walk/Run for Hope.
