What is QPR?
QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer – the three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.
What will I learn in QPR training?
QPR teaches anyone and everyone to recognize the warning signs of suicide, teaches how to offer hope, and provides resources on how to help people in need, in order to save a life.
Who teaches QPR workshops?
QPR workshops are taught by qualified trainers, trained by the QPR Institute, and recertified every three years.
Who can take a QPR workshop?
Anyone! You can schedule a class with your group (workplace, service club, school, community) or as an individual in a public class.
How much does it cost to take a QPR workshop?
Workshops are funded by generous donors and are taught by qualified volunteer trainers; there is no charge to take a QPR workshop.
How long is a QPR workshop?
Workshops last from 60 to 90 minutes depending on the practicality of doing role play and the size of the class.
